Insurance and Billing

Our staff will help to determine your dental benefit as estimated by your insurance carrier.
Please remember that the financial obligation for dental treatment is between you and our office. The insurance company is responsible to you and not us.

Orthodontic Insurance Coverage

Insurance for orthodontic services is provided through a contract between your employer and a dental insurance company. The coverage you receive is based solely on the terms negotiated between these two organizations.
Orthodontic offices are not involved in determining which services are covered, the percentage of the fee that's covered, or whether a specific service Is covered at all.
Not all treatment, including some high Quality services, is covered by dental insurance. While our goal is to provide you with the highest possible Quality of care, insurance companies often cover only very basic services. These covered services are identified according to the cost of the insurance policy to your employer and the amount your insurance company is willing to pay.
If you have orthodontic insurance, it's part of your overall dental insurance coverage. However, orthodontic coverage works differently than your general dental coverage or your other types of medical insurance.

Why Won't My Insurance Plan Pay the Entire fee?

Many patients are not aware that dental insurance usually places a limit on how much it will pay toward any orthodontic fee. The insurance company only covers a portion of the entire fee up to a lifetime maximum payment. This means that the insurance company will cover only part of the patient's orthodontic fee and will pay only once in the patient's lifetime or for as long as you have the policy for orthodontic treatment.
This insurance is one-time maximum coverage and is separate from the annual maximum that - you use for your general dental visits. While your general dental policy also has an annual maximum, every year that amount is renewed. Unfortunately, orthodontics coverage is not renewable from year to year.

Insurance Claims

To make the process easier for you, our orthodontic office will be happy to help by submitting insurance information to your dental insurance company. If you have any Questions, we will be happy to answer them and help you through the process.

Our facility

Dr. Kadan designed the office along with an interior designer who has extensive experience in the dental field. The thought and care that went into designing the space reflects our philosophy that patients deserve and receive the highest quality, state of the art, orthodontic care in a comfortable and friendly environment.

Treatment area
The treatment area is an open bay concept with semi-partitioned areas to ensure your privacy. The open bay design allows us to efficiently treat our patients. We have a tooth brushing station for our patients' convenience, so patients have the chance to brush their teeth before we see them.

Sterilization Area
Our sterilization room is located next to the treatment area. It meets and exceeds OSHA and the Center for Disease Control guidelines. All instruments are steam autoclaved. Dr. Kadan doesn't recycle orthodontic materials.

Consultation Room
This room is mainly used for new patient consultations. We also use this room for diagnostic records and treatment planning conferences and for discussing finances.

Reception Room
The reception room is mainly a waiting area for parents that are accompanying the patient. Parents along with other family members can make themselves comfortable in the reception area. For your convenience there are magazines, and brochures about orthodontic treatment. Because we care about our patients and their families we always add new things to make your visit at our office a favorable experience.

Game and Play Area
There is a X-Box in the game area. New games are added throughout the year. There is also a desk if you like to help your child with school homework or read to them. In addition at the play area there are many games and toys and educational ones so that your child can have a good time while you are at our office.

Front Desk
This is the nerve center of our office. Conny, or Nancy are friendly and eager to help you with any questions you might have. This is also where you check in and schedule your next visit.

X- Ray
The X- ray area is located behind the consultation room. Dr. Kadan or a certified assistant will take your x-rays and photographs that are important in planning your treatment.

Testimonials
Dr. Kadan (and Staff),
Firstly, I feel a very high need to express my appreciation to you and your staff for a job and service well done especially since we seem to have reached an era where customer service seems to be a thing of the past. When I first walked into your office, your day was over but you and your secretary were so welcoming and after a long day and probably so ready to go home, you still took the time to see me and answer some quick questions that I had. (Thank -you for that). Since I've become a patient of yours about 10 months ago, only after considering braces for a very long time and after meeting multiple Orthodontists, I knew right away that you were the right Orthodontist for me! You were obviously my choice. With the confidence that only comes from professionalism, you and your staff support me through the process and are always attentive to my needs. You never hesitate to answer my questions or explain a procedure when I come to your office. What can I say, the results so far, have totally surpassed all my expectations and we are not yet done! Your gentle and compassionate way of doctoring is so important to me. I wholeheartedly recommend your services to anyone!! Thank- you a million times Dr. Kadan! (and staff)
